Summary

The squad you love is out of time。 Prepare for the thrilling finale in the epic, best-selling Aurora Cycle series about a band of unlikely heroes who just might be the galaxy's last hope for survival。

Is this the end?

What happens when you ask a bunch of losers, discipline cases, and misfits to save the galaxy from an ancient evil? The ancient evil wins, of course。
Wait。 。 。 。 Not。 So。 Fast。
When we last saw Squad 312, they working together seamlessly (aka, freaking out) as an intergalactic battle raged and an ancient superweapon threatened to obliterate Earth。 Everything went horribly wrong, naturally。
But as it turns out, not all endings are endings, and the te4am has one last chance to rewrite thirs。 Maybe two。 It's complicated。
Cue Zila, Fin, and Scarlett (and MAGELLAN!): making friends, making enemies, and making history? Sure, no problem
Cue Tyler, Kal, and Auri: uniting with two of the galaxy’s most hated villains? Um, okay。 That, too。
Actually saving the galaxy, though?
Now that will take a miracle。

Aurora's End by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff is the much anticipated conclusion to the Aurora Cycle, an epic space opera featuring the members of Squad 312。 As readers of the previous books no doubt remember, the authors left us on something of a cliff hanger and this book picks up right where Aurora Burning left off。 To say too much about the story would be a disservice to the book as it is a page turning thrill ride that is designed to have the reader on the edge of their seat, but more than Aurora's End by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff is the much anticipated conclusion to the Aurora Cycle, an epic space opera featuring the members of Squad 312。 As readers of the previous books no doubt remember, the authors left us on something of a cliff hanger and this book picks up right where Aurora Burning left off。 To say too much about the story would be a disservice to the book as it is a page turning thrill ride that is designed to have the reader on the edge of their seat, but more than that it is a book that will pull on the reader's heart strings as the characters they have bonded with over the rest of the series face triumph and heartbreak in equal proportions。 I was expecting plenty of humour and lots of witty banter, and I was certainly not disappointed。 I am in awe of how cleverly the authors were able to bring the threads of the story together so deftly to give an immensely satisfying conclusion, it really was a wonderful balancing act。 I'm sad to be saying goodbye to the Squad, but it really was a wonderfully fun filled journey。 I read and reviewed an ARC courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher, all opinions are my own。 。。。more

Such a bittersweet ending! But it was perfect。 I laughed and cried and felt all the love through the pages。 This crew was fun to watch。 This ragtag team I never imagined I like as much as the Illuminae crews。 But I did。 I can’t wait to listen to the series for my reread。

You will not be disappointed。These two authors have a way of writing that just flows through your mind, hypnotising you in inch by inch to entwine their world into your own, just like the Ra'haam。 It's so easy to get lost in the pages of this final book and let time fly by without a notice or care。 This duo have created something beautiful and deadly, that I connected to on a emotional level and can not recommend enough。Ps you will cry。Thank you to @oneworldpublications and @rocktheboatnews for You will not be disappointed。These two authors have a way of writing that just flows through your mind, hypnotising you in inch by inch to entwine their world into your own, just like the Ra'haam。 It's so easy to get lost in the pages of this final book and let time fly by without a notice or care。 This duo have created something beautiful and deadly, that I connected to on a emotional level and can not recommend enough。Ps you will cry。Thank you to @oneworldpublications and @rocktheboatnews for an early copy of this beauty! Rating: 3。7 / 5Okay, so a good portion of this book after a time was a skim rather than a read, and yet I still got the gist of what was happening, which I guess tells you something about the authors' superfluous details。But anyway, I've de-graded this from my favourites list。 Yup, I did。 Maybe it's because re-reading the first and second books the second time around wasn't as engaging, or maybe it's because I really don't like alternate timeline plots in most cases (with VERY few exceptions, tr Rating: 3。7 / 5Okay, so a good portion of this book after a time was a skim rather than a read, and yet I still got the gist of what was happening, which I guess tells you something about the authors' superfluous details。But anyway, I've de-graded this from my favourites list。 Yup, I did。 Maybe it's because re-reading the first and second books the second time around wasn't as engaging, or maybe it's because I really don't like alternate timeline plots in most cases (with VERY few exceptions, trust me) and so having not only time travel in the future but in the past as well。。。yeah, that just about tipped the iceberg for me towards bleh territory。Not to say that the book wasn't good though, which is why I've given it 4 stars and downgraded Aurora BurningBasically, we've got three things going on:1。 Tyler's still in the present, so at least HIS timeline's clear, but then。。。。2。 Auri and Kal are in the FUTURE, and3。 Zila, Fin, and Scarlett hang out in the past。So yeah。。。there's all that。To an extent, some of what happens is definitely planned, since it ties in to what the past books have set up。 Legit no arguments there。 When it's there, it's there, eh?But then other things just have Kaufman's wishy-washy stupidly-romantic extra-sensory EVERYTHING attached to it, and so, with tiresome details in tow, I just had to skim, skim, and skim some more to come to the ending。And I still got the story, skimming aside。 What does that tell you?ThatA) those details are not needed and they are just EXTRA, andB) that therefore the book is not justified in being this long。But observe: rounded up to 4 stars because I'm nice and there are some solid ideas in here。It's not a perfect book by a long shot, but I'll keep a hold of it to complete the trilogy。 Not sure if I'll ever have the patience to re-read it again, but if not, then at least it'll make a decent read for my teenage daughters in the future or something。 We'll see, we'll see。。。。 。。。more

This is a trilogy and this is last book in the series。 Aurora’s End picks up just straight after what happened at the end of Aurora Burning which left us on a cliffhanger。 The last we seen of Squad 312, was they were trying to save Earth from impending doom while an intergalactic battle raged on。 Of course things went wrong but Squad 312 might have another chance to save the galaxy in this book。 I loved this book and this series。 I am kinda sad the series is coming to end as I will miss Squad 31 This is a trilogy and this is last book in the series。 Aurora’s End picks up just straight after what happened at the end of Aurora Burning which left us on a cliffhanger。 The last we seen of Squad 312, was they were trying to save Earth from impending doom while an intergalactic battle raged on。 Of course things went wrong but Squad 312 might have another chance to save the galaxy in this book。 I loved this book and this series。 I am kinda sad the series is coming to end as I will miss Squad 312。 Without trying to spoil this book too much Squad 312 find themselves in various situtations in this book。 Zila, Fin and Scarlett and Magellan find themselves stuck repeating time which was so much fun to read and Tyler, Kal and Auri find themselves teaming up with two villains。 This book is action packed and sad at times but as the previous two books it isn't without the humour and warm that makes Squad 312 so likeable as a group and indivduals。 Romance does bloom in this book and I did have two favourites but I won't say in case it is a spoiler for future readers。 Lots of loose ends and questions are tied up in this book。 So you won't be left with any unexplained questions。 The end is heartwarming and maybe too perfect but lets face Squad 312 deserve a bit of happiness and peace。 Highly entertaining and fun series and final book fitting to end a series。 One last point I have loved the covers of the books。 They stand out and are very striking。 I received ARC from Netgalley and Oneworld Publications, Rock the Boat for an objection review。 。。。more

Let's talk about the characters first。AuroraI felt like she was so weird in this book and I understand that it was because of the power within her, but she made some crazy decisions, she was acting very strange and I just didn't like her character that much in this book。 She could've been so, so much better, she had a lot of potential that wasn't used。KalAfter Aurora Burning, my heart was broken for him。 This guy deserved so much more and he did get some of that in Aurora's End, but not enough。 I would've loved to see him make up with his sister, but eh。。。ZilaI love her with all my heart。 she saved the book, because her sacrifice was literally my favourite thing in this book, one that I felt like it was worthy of the finale of a series。 She is so amazing and I wish we knew more about her life with Nari, I need a short story or novella or something about them。TylerI didn't expect him to be the person he was in this book and I LOVED his new self。 And I was rooting for him and Saedii, so I'm glad they made the big step, because they're really great together。ScarlettI love her growth so much。 She overcame so many of her fears in order to save the ones she loved, she became such a beautiful person and I'm so happy that she finally got what she deserves。FinianHe's enough and he has always been enough and I love him so, so much。 He has come so far and I'm so happy that he and Scarlett found each other。 I mean it was very predictable, but I love them together。 They deserve each other。The plot? Well, the plot was definitely not what I was expecting。 I really enjoyed the whole time travelling stuff, even though my mind went a little crazy while trying to piece everything together。 It was challenging and I enjoyed it, coming from a sci-fi book。 But as I said in the beginning, this book was too soft。 I was expecting a huge fight with the Ra'haam, not what happened with Aurora and her choices。 I just didn't feel like it was such a great ending to this series, it was just cute, but not exciting。 All in all, I liked the book。 I even loved some part of it, but not the book as a whole。 It could've been much better in my opinion, but this is all we get。 。。。more

Chegou um momento que eu achei que ninguém ia se salvar, mas no fim das contas o bem venceu e nosso Squad de azarados teve seu final feliz (na medida do possível)。 。。。more

Or Star Trek? Pretty much any of the Treks。 They all had time loops in them。 Did Andromeda? Probably。 It’s a while since I watched Andromeda。 Aurora and her space elf squeeze and his dad are in the future, riding the ship with the big glowing weapon made by Mass Effect’s Precursors。 It’s a future where the moldy Borg Collective won and civilisation is hanging on by its fingernails。 Running from last stand to last stand, putting off the inevitable total defeat and consumption into the compost friendly Borg。 Did you ever watch that X Men film? Days Of Future Past I think it was。 Well it’s that。 What’s Tyler up to? Shagging another space elf, mostly, because this is an Aurora book, and someone is always being horny in an Aurora book, usually in a wildly inappropriate circumstance。 While he’s not shagging he’s trying to stop Aurora Academy getting blown up。 Uniting the free races of the galaxy to go and blow up a Borg planet。 Watching the free races of the galaxy fail at blowing up a Borg planet。 The problem with books with multiple threads like this is that more often than not one of them becomes your favourite and the others feel like a slog。 Well none of these felt like my favourite, and they all felt like a slog。 At the end of almost every chapter I put my phone back down and did something else for ten minutes before I could psyche myself up to read some more, because it was just a chore。 I didn’t like being in the characters’ heads because their narration was annoying and vapid, and as a Sci Fi nerd I’d seen it all before and done more competently。 That’s what this review boils down to。 I didn’t like the characters, and what they were doing was a GCSE drama class’s reenactment of a Stargate SG1 episode。 I finished the book to write this review, and it was a waste of time because I don’t feel enough about the book to write a good review。 I mean, I’ve managed to spend almost six hundred words saying I feel nothing for this book, which I suppose is an achievement, but not one of note。 A lot like Aurora Burning itself。 Two stars。 Don’t bother。 。。。more
